Transformation pack....A strict No-No

Well it's that time again . A new operating system "Windows 7" is catching our eye and drawing a lot of attention. Now there will be people trying to cash in on this situation creating transformation packs that will make your Xp look like a vista or a windows 7.

I'm strictly against it,because a transformation pack IS NOT A THEME.It does so many changes to your registry to incorporate new designs and interfaces. It changes the MBR(Master Boot Record)...i.e.Your Boot Structure. It is like installing a software which in essence you give all power to chop and change easily your entire os.Just to get a feel of a os,it is not a good idea of disrupting another os.

It does not end here. Some of the transformation packs are trojans, worms etc.
Also,The Uninstaller that come with these transformation packs are quite crappy.just the icons may be changed. But a lot of changes that had been made to the registry are not undone.

Even after unistallation you will find out that your computer has become slower, and the inevitable happens "Argh! I have to Re-Format the computer".

From my experience(I had to reformat once because of applying a transformation pack),i would suggest you to think twice before jumping the gun and installing the Transformation pack..

Note:
I am not against the people who develop the transformation packs. But certain things could definitely be looked after
  1.  Testing of the TP , and certification of safety
  2. Virus Proof
  3. Better Unistallers
Thats it guys...

Eye-Fi.....What's That?

Eye-Fi Inc. today unveiled the Eye-Fi Card – the world’s first wireless SD memory card for digital cameras. It uses home Wi-Fi networks to create a convenient way for users to send photographs directly from digicams to computers and online photo and social networking sites.

All you need to do is simply turn on your digital camera and your pictures are wirelessly uploaded. The Eye-Fi Card works with existing and new SD-compatible digital cameras, and stores photos just like a conventional SD memory card.

During the simple setup process, users can select from among 17 popular online photo-sharing, printing, social networking, or blogging sites to publish and share their photographs, and select where on their PC or Mac they want to archive their images.

Once the setup is complete, users can focus on taking pictures and sharing memories – and not on the process of uploading photos from the camera. Eye-Fi’s free upload service allows users to transfer an unlimited number of photos. It handles full-resolution JPEG pictures and intelligently resizes images if required by the selected destination.

The 2GB wireless SD memory card is available now at major online retailers including Amazon.com for $99.99 (Rs 3,940).

Thinking of Buying a New Laptop?,Think again

I'm Back and Here's my latest Post(sorry for the delays)

Well,Your laptop has aged...........,

It has been quite a long time since it was the machine you loved and admired for its speed and workability. It is now proving to be a liability, failing to perform at situations where its perfomance would be critical.Constant data loss,BSOD(Blue Screen of Death) etc..............

Now dont you worry....(Infact there is a solution, without spending a buck!!!!)

Note:
This is valid only for original laptops.

1.Now check your laptop's box contents to find some cd's.

2.Now find the cd named recovery cd,there usually be 2 cds(disk 1 and disk 2).

3.Before you do anything, change your bios setting to boot from the cd.

4.Done,ok great now insert the cd when computer is in ON state.

5.Before you do anything else,BACKUP anything you might reqiure from C drive to a external        hard disk.(this will prevent loss of essential data).

6.Now restart the computer, you will boot from the cd now follow your onscreen instructions.

7.After this process is over the computer will restart 2 to 3 times to install drivers,etc..

8.Finally,Your laptop is now as good as new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9.Dont thank me,Pat yourself on the back!, You have been a lot smarter than your other                  collegues who bought a new laptop just because they got fed up of thier old laptops.

10.Now i would reccommend you to increase your RAM to a minimum of 2 gb or as much as              your chipset supports.

11.Now Show off your new lapop!

Cheers,Njoy!!
